I teach an intro to Psychology class, and am now using the 8th edition of the volume. The writer does a superb job at explaining the scientific discipline behind the findings, and does make the material attainable to students.

I had to read the tenth edition of this for a higher form.

In its best sections it is unhelpful. In its worst sections it is pure evil. All of it is built on a faulty worldview that denies God and assumes naturalism.

A good introductary volume. I particularly like the idea of the very modular arroyo (hence the name of the book) where every chapter tin stand solitary. This makes the book specially suitable to readers like myself - if you lot aren't a student, it'due south nifty to be able to bound around the book as yous please.

I won't give it 5 stars as the content wasn't eye-opening or written in any specific way. A great intro, but not more than than that.

I read this volume for psychology this semester, and enjoyed reading it. Information technology was very elementary to understand, and I loved how quizzes were placed afterwards each department then it tests the material that you just read. Worth the reading if you bask psychology and need a basic brush upwardly. If you already know the material, it might be repetition.
